Gigli marini (Sea Lilies)

· by Carolina

Walking along the promenade, with the beautiful sea stretching out before me here in Botricello, in Calabria, I saw them on the beach—a truly stunning sight. In their simple beauty, they are a testament to quiet strength: Gigli marini (Sea Lilies), white and delicate, yet so incredibly resilient. They emerge from the warm sand, with just a few elongated leaves to protect them from the scorching sun and the relentless sea wind. They are a small miracle of nature, standing as a delicate and perfect contrast to the wild expanse of the sea. Una vera delizia per gli occhi. A true delicacy for our eyes. A quick but important note: these are a protected species, so please do not pick them. Grazie mille! Godeteveli--> enjoy them!
